Coming back to food ….
We started with some refreshing drinks
⁃ Kiwi & Basil Tom Collins
⁃ Passion Fruit Daiquiri
⁃ Power House
⁃ Banana Colada
All four drinks were really good … among all Banana Colada was my favorite.
After that they served us their signature mushroom soup & Almond soup. Really nice.
Then comes the appetizers …
⁃ the pretty Avocado edamame’ mango salad was as delicious as it looks… with all the fresh ingredients it was just perfect to start with.
⁃ Charcoal Truffle Mushroom Maki- Black sushi rice stuffed with truffled mushroom … a bite size delicacies were just perfect.
⁃ Pretzel Chicken fries served with bazooka sauce … kids really loved it.
⁃ Dishtrict Dynamite Shrimps with an Indian fusion … we loved the way they served it in a Papad cone covered with bhel.
⁃ Tahini Nachos- An epic blend of Mexican chips with a middle eastern dressing.
⁃ Oman Chips Kumpir- Turkish style stuffed potato with broccoli, mushroom & cheese … served with lots & lots of cheese on top & garnished with crushed Omani chips. A unique & delicious combination.
⁃ Lamb Gulaoti Tacos- soft tacos with crumbled lamb kebab & mint sauce … a modern version of kebab paratha. 😍
⁃ Tandoori Chicken Yakitori- a Japanese version of the traditional chicken tikka … simply amazing
⁃ Deconstructed Falafel flatbread- flatbread baked with falafel topped with lettuce, pickles & tahini .. another fusion dish which we loved a lot.
So . That was just for the starters … now comes the main course… we tried
⁃ Katsu Biryani- traditional Biryani rice served with Katsu curry, sweet potato & eggplant katsu chicken. Never thought Biryani can be served in this way too … & surprisingly it was delicious
⁃ Malay Charcoal Fish- Malaysian style fish fillet served on broccoli rice … one of the best fish fillet we ever tried.
We all have a sweet tooth, so we end our fusion meal with interesting desserts like the gulab jamun cheesecake, the walnut and rose petal halwa which comes served in a golden globe & a must to try at Dishtrict.
We ended our luxurious meal with a simple cup of karak tea.
Dishtrict is definitely a highly recommendable place with an amazing variety of food … amazing service & beautiful location. A perfect place to dine in with your family or friends.
